Who am I?
I'm Glendon, and I've spent the last ten-plus years leading software engineering teams.
I will share what things have worked for me, and what have not. I'll talk about things I've changed my mind on. I'll share things I've read, many outside of software engineering, that have impacted how I think and how I work.
There are three reasons for my writing this:
- I hope that some of these reflections and anecdotes and ramblings will be of some use (or at least entertainment) to someone.
- Putting my thoughts in writing is an important part of how I retain knowledge and digest ideas. So even if I'm the only person who ever reads this, it will not have been for naught.
- To be honest, I just like writing. It's fun.
So I hope you stay and read, if for nothing else to tell me that I got it all wrong. (Though please share what you would do differently.)
